Because in this blog, I’ll be talking about weapon and vegetation designs.
For the guns, I used militaryfactory.com and located the most bizarre looking 1940s weapons and borrowed their designs, namely the Blyskawica SMG, the Carl Gustav M/45, the FP-45 and the Flame Thrower Portable No.2. Reproductions below.
So far this has been about as far as I’ve gone with the weaponry, but I’m thinking of tweaking the designs a little and adding some ornamentation in the form of animal heads etc.
For vegetation, I wanted a sort of Vietnam vibe, but opted instead for a mix of different Asian jungles. I’m not a fan of drawing trees, so, to make it interesting, I started designing a tree that had evolved to grow from bones. I don’t know why.
I used a brush pen for the shaded sides and bottom of the branches, and then an 0.8/0.5 for outlines and shading…
