I already have a rough idea of the story I want to submit for my ‘Creating Comics’ module, which I’ll discuss next week, but suffice to say its a sort of ‘Spice World Meets Starship Troopers‘.
This week I focused on drawing my four main characters, and starting to develop their personalities.
The first sketch was of Mocha, the Victoria Beckham/Cheryl Cole of my futuristic girl band – not the best singer, but the one who’s hot stuff and is going to have the solo career after the band’s demise.
An idea I’m playing with in this sketch is that the weaponry of the universe utilises human energy – hence the plug into Mocha’s heart.
While I’m sketching, I’m also trying to find a look for the comic. Mocha’s got quite a cruel and angular look, but the other characters softened considerably.
